1. Is there moisture content requirement for biomass materials in pelletizing process?
The moisture content of raw material is required to be 14-16%. If it is too low, you should add some water during pelletizing process; if too high, the pellets made out are easy to loose.
2. After chipped and pulverized, the moisture content of wood powder is about 40%, and not suitable for pelletization. How to deal with it?
The best moisture content for pelletization is 14-16%. Since the 40% moisture content is too high, the wood powder must be dried before pelletization.
3. Is there any requirement for the production workshop?
The production workshop must have good ventilation and lighting; do not store too many materials and products to maintain a clear safe passage; the fire facilities should be well-equipped and effective; clean the dust inside the workshop in time.
4. In the pellet production process, how long should the bearings and reduction box be added lubricating oil or grease?
Usually those bearings and reduction box in non-mentioned parts should be cleaned and add new grease (generally 3# Lithium Grease) every 300 working hours. The amount of grease in bearing portion is one third of the bearing housing volume. Too much grease will generate heat and add power consumption. Generally the lubricating oil in reduction box should be changed every 1000 working hours, while the amount is required to reach standard oil level.
5. How many tons does 1m3 wood sawdust contain?
The specific gravity of 1 m3 sawdust is 0.3, so its weight is 0.3ton.
6. What is the difference between a 1ton/h straw pellet plant and a wood pellet plant?
Besides crusher, other equipments are the same.
